Hey guys

As much as I wanted to attend the Vancouver Muni Weekend I was unable for several reasons. First of all I had to move into…and clean my new apartment, and this took longer then expected. Second my brother wasn’t in Vancouver so I didn’t have a place to stay and last but certainly not least my ride ditched out.  If something similar happens next year, I definitely have to get my act together and go!

As for the geared hub, I hit a snag. When I went to purchase a rim I was short by I’m not kidding 37 cents in my Paypal. But now I have enough And I Just ordered it. So hopefully I will have it up in running in about a week.

I got two things yesterday. A massive gash on my elbow caused by my shoe flying off on a very dry abrasive transition…andddd the geared hub! I’ll post more details and a video once I have it laced to a rim and running. For now just enjoy some photos.

As of now I have a lot of things to be excited about.

Yesterday was my last day of work for at least a full month. After working steady 5 days a week since spring I am obviously very excited to finally have time to ride without being dead tired.

Usually this late into summer the dirt on the trails around here shares many characteristics to beach sand, but with the strange amount of rain we have been getting this is just not the case. The trails are holding their shape better then I have ever seen in August.

Also, as of this morning the upgraded geared muni hub is ready to go…now I just have to find the money to pay for it haha. Once its hear I’ll be sure to make a video showcasing it.

Hey guys,

 Haven’t written anything in the blog for a while, been quite busy. Anyways a few Sundays ago we went filming with plans to shoot some drops that I had done several times before, but long story short someone had dismantled them, so with nothing else ready to film we went up a trail called Balls Deep. There were a couple of hits we wanted to get on footage but all we ended up with was 7 or 8 crashes filmed from the zipline. The drop we were filming was probably the second largest one I have ever done and on top of that the landing was VERY soft. So soft that I had to sort of hip and land on the side of the tranny where the dirt was more solid. This led to me loosing control and slamming my ribs/gut into the hard flat ground at the bottom of the landing. This put me out for a full week. Probably the most painful crash I’ve ever had, but still no broken bones.

Other then that things have been awesome. The new titanium hub is working like a charm and I got to ride with Pete and Daniel Cormeau. It felt good to ride with other unicyclers for once…been I can count the number of unicyclist I’ve ridden with on one hand.

Thought it would be a good time to show off my newly rebuilt 24’’ Obviously it’s strictly for street; plastic pedals, skinnier slick tire.

Its been raining a lot for the past couple weeks(haha as I typed that I herd thunder) so I have not been riding many trails, just indoor skate park. I’m trying to learn unispins off drops (I believe that’s what they are called)

I’ll make a park/street video ASAP.

After seeing the new Nimbus 36″ Impulse Disc Unicycle I have been inspired to purchase my fist dedicated road unicycle. As soon as they are in stock, I am getting one. I’m not sure if it was the color scheme or the disk that caught my eye, but I want one!

Also looky what I just got!

It will be build to my 26er as soon as my new 24 wheel set is done. Once my 24 is working (hopefully Tuesday) I plan on making my first street and trials vid in quite some time.

I haven’t had a heck of a lot of time to ride lately being most of my free time has gone into working on me and Mikes new trail. It is being built for Dapoirierinc’s new unicycle film “Begin” I will post pics of the trail soon…its some crazy stuff, by far the hardest bridges I have ever had to ride.
